Things to keep in mind while applying for Singapore visa

Singapore is a popular tourist destination in South-East Asia. Given to its vibrant nightlife, tasty food and awe-inspiring skyscrapers, Singapore is certainly worth a visit. If you are planning a trip to this island country, here’s everything you should know to obtain Singapore Visa.
All visitors should hold a passport valid for six months, at the time of departure. They should hold an onward or return ticket, have sufficient funds to stay in Singapore and convince an immigration officer that they have ties (job, home, financial assets or family) that will take them back to their home country. Citizens of India may obtain a visa to Singapore online or at the nearest Singaporean High Commission, Embassy or Consulate. Indian nationals holding official and diplomatic passports are exempted from the entry visa requirement.
Nationals of India can transit, one time only, for up to 96 hours without a visa under the Visa Free Transit Facility (VFTF) on either the outbound or return leg of the same journey. Transit passengers holding two separate tickets can transit without a visa, unless they are arriving or departing on a budget carrier.
With effect from 1st April 2009, the Singapore High Commission has stopped accepting individual walk-in applications. All applications now need to be submitted via a new electronic visa (e-Visa) application system that facilitates online processing of visas. Applications must be submitted to any of the authorized visa agent. Those whose applications have been approved can have the e-Visa printed online by the authorized visa agents. Any local sponsor in Singapore (with a Singpass account) can also submit your application online.
All visa applicants are required to completely fill visa application form 14 A i.e. all columns and blank spaces should be full. The visa application forms are available free of charge at authorized visa agents at Annex A or at any Singapore Overseas Missions.
The visa processing fee for each application is S$30. Visa processing fees are to be paid upon application. The processing fee is non-refundable irrespective of the outcome of the application. In addition to the visa fee of S$30 the authorized visa agents will also impose a fixed service charge of Rs. 300 only for each visa application. Processing of the application takes 1 working day after submitting the application. This excludes the day of submission, weekends and public holidays.
Every application will be considered on its own merits. Possession of a Singapore Visa For Indians does not guarantee entry into Singapore. Visitors must also meet other entry requirements such as holding a valid passport, sufficient funds for the period of stay in Singapore and confirmed onward/return air ticket.
